Clay pigeon shooting
Welcome to the University of Liverpool Clay pigeon shooting club
Clay pigeon shooting tests your aiming skills to the max. You are aiming with your shotgun, at a clay disc, which is fired into the air. It offers an afternoon in the countryside, alongside good company. It is a thrilling sport, open to all ages and abilities, which can become very addictive. We encourage anyone to join, from being a complete beginner to a competitive shot.
Competitive
Liverpool University Shooting Team (LUST) is a highly successful club. We strive to place in every competition, with great success. Weekend competitions are a highlight of our calendar, which are not to be missed. Our success rate extends from being British Universities and Colleges Sports champions to winning individual high gun, team flush and many more events.
LUST currently consists of two competitive teams, men's and ladies' first teams, as well as a mixed team.
Training times
Every Wednesday we train at our local shooting ground in Frodsham, Cheshire; Catton Hall Shooting Ground. We meet at 1pm outside of the University guild, transport is organised for you, and we return at 5pm.
Social events
Socials are at the heart of our club, and we know the value that they add to your university experience. We ensure that there is something for everyone. We want you to have the time of your lives! They help integrate the old and new members of the club in a friendly environment, with many being the highlight of the year for our team.
