Welcome to the University of Liverpool Archery club
Welcome to the University of Liverpool Archery Club!
Never done archery before? No problem! all skill levels. Whether you want to meet new people and enjoy a social sport or compete to the best of your ability, archery could be the sport for you.
Competitive
We compete as part of the North of England Universities Archery League (NEUAL) as well as BUCS. Ranging from local league matches up to national championships, there's plenty of opportunities to take part.
A number of our members also represent the club at the national level in events including the ArcheryGB National Tour and National Indoor Championships.
All members of the club are welcome to compete, especially since most university competitions are split into "Novice" and "Experienced" categories. We help introduce new members to competition formats, and there's even a dedicated Novice Championship event at the start of the year.
Social sport
We hold training sessions twice a week, hosted by our experienced members. All equipment is provided, with no obligation to purchase your own. No matter their ability, everyone is welcome to socialise and have fun while practising an exciting sport.
Our members specialise in a variety of bowstyles including Olympic Recurve, Barebow, Compound, Longbow and more!
A third, additional training session is run for experienced members in need of competition preparation. Local coaching opportunities are also available, with an ArcheryGB Performance Pathway Coach.
Training takes place in Sport Hall 1 (Sports and Fitness Centre) during the winter and Wyncote during the summer.

Outdoor Training Times
Outdoor training typically starts after Easter. Session times vary depending on committee availability and weather conditions. We aim to organise at least one session per week, with more in the lead up to competitions.
Social events
We arrange an interesting array of activities during the year, as well as fun themed shoots. After indoor training we often progress to a local pub for food and drink. Our favourite haunt on Wednesday nights is the AJ.
