Biography
Tracy is a postgraduate researcher and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). She obtained a BS in Finance (1st class: 91.77/100) at Shandong Technology and Business University and an MS in Finance (Distinction) at the University of Liverpool. She is an awardee of the 2018 China National Scholarship, the highest-level award granted by the Chinese Ministry of Education. She was also awarded the XJTLU Masters Entry Scholarship in 2020. Tracy is an educational practitioner who has been working within and outside academia for over six years. She has performed roles as an English mentor, IELTS teacher, teaching assistant, and research assistant, educating students from kindergarten to postgraduate in multidisciplinary subjects.
Research
Tracy’s research discipline lies in Sociology and Education. Her research interest is Transnational Education (TNE), particularly the culture and power in global Higher Education (HE). Her PhD studies joint venture universities and their ethical business practices in the context of the UK and China. It explores the challenges of how TNE partnerships catalyse pedagogy, culture, and technology shifts in the 21st century.
