Objectives:
To investigate candidate Li-ion anode and cathode material interfaces in non-conventional electrolytes based on ionic liquids or polymers
To characterise candidate electrode material interfaces with a variety of ex situ and in situ techniques and compare with conventional electrolyte interfaces
To develop materials with more stable interfaces that can demonstrate a greater cycle life in non-conventional electrolytes.
