What is happening at the event?

There will be academic and industrial presentations and then a panel event where the audience can freely ask questions to the panellists. The day will end with a networking event with drinks provided.

Where is the event?

The talks will take place in the Central Teaching Hub (CTH), University of Liverpool, L69 7ZD. This is a building on the central campus.

The networking event will take place on the roof of the Oliver Lodge Laboratory, University of Liverpool, L69 7ZU. This is a building which is a 1-minute walk from the CTH

When does registration open and close?

Registration is open now and closes at 5pm on Monday 13th May.

How much is the conference?

The conference is free to attend.

Who is this event for?

The conference is aimed at women and gender minority researchers in STEM, although anyone who wishes to celebrate this is welcome to attend. The conference is a safe space for women and gender minority researchers.

Are expenses covered?

Travel expenses are not currently covered by the conference; however, you may be able to be reimbursed by your department, but the WoNDRS conference is not responsible for this. Reimbursements must be handled by the attendee and their department.

What else is happening at the event?

During the lunch and coffee breaks, there will be stands for a variety of groups and STEM based bodies that will have people you can interact with and ask questions of.

How do I sign in when I get to the event?

You can sign in at the venue, between 9.30am and 10.15am. There will be multiple committee members at a table where you can collect your name badge and, if you would like, pronoun stickers.

Is there a quiet room?

There will be a dedicated quiet room in lecture theatre B in the Central Teaching Hub.

What else should I know?

Tea and coffee will be provided in the coffee breaks but please bring your own water bottle to make use of the refill stations around the facilities.

 

At the event, the organisers will be wearing a purple badge - they will be happy to answer any questions you have or help you out with any problems or queries
