Professor Rosseinsky receives OBE at Windsor Castle

The University of Liverpool’s Professor Matt Rosseinsky was presented with his OBE by HRH The Princess Royal at a special Investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.
The award was announced in the King’s Birthday Honours list, with Professor Rosseinsky recognised for his services to materials chemistry research and innovation.
Professor Rosseinsky, from the Department of Chemistry and Materials Innovation Factory, said: “It was a tremendous experience to visit Windsor Castle with my family to receive the OBE.
“I am pleased that that the important role materials chemistry plays in society has been recognised in this way and I wish to express my thanks to my team, my University colleagues and our partners in both academia and industry for their support over the years.”
A Professor of Inorganic Chemistry, Matt Rosseinsky leads a research group in the design, discovery, synthesis, and characterisation of solid state materials. He and his team have developed a next generation approach to materials discovery that fuses digital tools with scientific insight to accelerate the design of new materials with for applications spanning energy and information storage to catalysis.
