Raquel graduated in 2020 from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in Portugal with her master’s thesis “Diagnosis of cranial cruciate ligament rupture in dogs using MRI– a retrospective study”. Raquel spent her following years working in busy hospitals and developing her clinical skills, undertaking various courses such as Postgraduate studies in small animal ultrasound (2021) by improve international and the Postgraduate studies in small animal surgery and anesthesia by Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Raquel joined the Small Animal Teaching Hospital as a rotating intern in February 2024 with the goal of further developing her clinical skills and pursuing a career in diagnostic imaging.
