Dr Rachel Burrow

Rachel qualified from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), London. After several years working in mixed practice she returned to the RVC to complete a three year training programme in small animal soft tissue surgery. After finishing her surgical training Rachel worked both in general practice and as a soft tissue surgeon at University College Dublin and the University of Liverpool. Rachel then gained a position as lecturer in small animal soft tissue surgery at the University of Liverpool and has spent the majority of her working life in this role.

Teaching Responsibilities
- Theoretical and clinical training of 3rd, 4th and final year veterinary undergraduate students, anaesthesia/surgical interns and surgery residents

- Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome
- Portosystemic shunts
- Anal sac adenocarcinoma
