Fraser qualified from the Edinburgh University in 1993 then worked in mixed practice for 6 years. He has worked as a veterinary radiologist since 1999, initially at Cambridge Veterinary School and then at the Animal Health Trust. During the 6 years he spent at the AHT he developed an interest in MRI and neuroimaging. In November 2006 he moved to the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the University of Liverpool to become head of the diagnostic imaging service. Fraser is a RCVS and European specialist in veterinary diagnostic imaging.
