Emma is from New York city originally, and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Barnard College at Columbia University. She completed her veterinary degree with distinction at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2015, and spent some time working in charitable practices around the UK. She undertook a rotating internship at ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists in 2021, completed her surgical certificate with the University of Liverpool in 2022, and hopes to obtain a diagnostic imaging certificate in the future. She undertook a surgical internship at the University of Liverpool in 2023, and became a surgical resident in 2024. She obtained additional teaching qualifications with the RCVS and the HEA, and is a neurodiversity consultant for BVCIS. Emma is a published novelist and enjoys knitting and spending time with her cat.
