Dan graduated from the University of Bristol in 1997. He moved to the School of Veterinary Science, University of Liverpool in 2002. He was awarded the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Medicine and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2007. In 2010 he completed PhD studies in the field of molecular physiology, researching the regulation of intestinal glucose transporters in dogs and cats, and their relevance to diabetes mellitus and obesity. He rejoined the Medicine team at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, University of Liverpool in 2011 as Lecturer in Internal Medicine and is currently Professor in Internal Medicine.

All aspects of canine and feline internal medicine.

Teaching Responsibilities

Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

Research Interests

Pancreatic disease and the regulation of intestinal function.
