Amélie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2018 after also completing an intercalated degree, with first class honours, in Neuroscience at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. After graduating she relocated to Australia where she completed an equine internship and worked as equine veterinarian in referral hospitals for a further three years. Realising her passion for small animal practice with a particular interest in internal medicine she transitioned into small animal general practice and completed an 18-month Internal Medicine Internship at a referral hospital in Sydney, Australia. During this time, she achieved Membership status in Small Animal Internal Medicine through examination by the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Amélie joined the Small Animal Teaching Hospital in 2025 to further enhance her skills and knowledge, with the ambition to pursue specialisation in Internal Medicine in the future.

Research Interests 
Amélie is currently undertaking research looking into the prevalence and characteristics of endocarditis in Australian dogs and cats. She previously co-authored a paper entitled ‘A highly prevalent SINE mutation in the myostatin (MSTN) gene promoter is associated with low circulating myostatin concentration in Thoroughbred racehorses.’
