Sarah’s role

Sarah is a member of the Thrive Project Board. In her role she wants to specifically help as a Board member; being positive and pragmatic, especially given the innovation and the change that the project is trying to achieve helping to listen and engage across sector for how we might develop team research.

About Sarah

Sarah joined The University of Liverpool in November 2014 as Director of Research, Partnerships and Innovation, to bring together a newly formed department covering business engagement, research policy, research strategy, international, national and regional partnerships with a team of circa. 130.  This includes leading the University’s strategic partnership with Unilever, developing the research and impact strategy and promoting the University to national partners.

Previous to this, Sarah was the Director of the N8 Research Partnership, a consortium of the eight most research-intensive universities in the North of England. She led on innovative collaborations on equipment sharing and industry engagement. She was invited by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to undertake three secondments working on the transition programme for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

Prior to working for the N8, Sarah worked in a number of roles - at the Northwest Development Agency, The University of Manchester and as a graduate trainee at Deloitte.

Outside of work, Sarah loves running, walking, and playing cricket for Sefton Park Women’s Cricket Club.
