About the session
Participants will learn what self-assessment tools are, what they are useful for and who actually uses them. Specific self-assessment tools will be highlighted, along with feedback from postdocs who’ve used them. Next steps and what to do with their findings will be discussed.

- Understand why self-assessment is important
- Try out some self-assessment tools
- Reflect on the findings from self-assessment tools
- Plan how to use the results to aid their career development journey.

Prosper is a £3.6M Research England funded project which will run for 3.5 years finishing in March 2023. Prosper aims to co-create a model of postdoc development that will empower postdocs to realise their potential across multiple career pathways.
At its heart the project is all about unlocking the huge potential and talents of the postdoc community for the benefit of postdocs themselves, Principal Investigators, employers and the wider UK economy.
