Making an Impact 2021 Framework
The Making an Impact Framework was revised in 2020 to include a Digital Agenda cluster which will once more be incorporated into the Framework for 2021 as digital initiatives that support and promote impact and enable people to connect more easily are even more relevant. The 2021 framework will continue to consist of impact clusters (based on the definition of impact in the REF2021 Guidance on Submissions, p.68) and a knowledge and skill axis (based on the first iteration of the Knowledge Exchange Framework 2019-2020 (p.7) perspectives).
The Making an Impact 2021 Framework will again be used to develop the programme, making sure all activities incorporate the impact clusters.
Illustrated below are the impact clusters identified for REF2021 (outer coloured diamonds) and the seven knowledge and skill perspectives of the KEF (blue core) to help participants understand and frame their engagement in the Making an Impact 2021 programme.
