Researcher Development Roadmap

The Academy’s Researcher Development Roadmap (RD Roadmap) represents the diverse pathways of the skills, knowledge and attributes of successful researchers. Recognising that researchers must be equipped and supported to be adaptable and flexible in an increasingly diverse global research environment and employment market, the RD Roadmap is purposefully constructed to enable researchers to pursue a wide range of careers.

The flexible and innovative RD Roadmap provides diverse opportunities for participants to create a bespoke development experience for themselves. The RD Roadmap consists of four key areas and associated sub-areas, all of which are highly valued and sought after by employers both within and beyond academia. Researchers can explore these by clicking on the relevant parts of the framework.
