The event, hosted by LCR Women Together, will provide combined authority staff with an opportunity to engage with valuable work within the Liverpool City Region that is accelerating action to address gender inequality, take time for personal development and provide a space to connect with each other.
Professor Catherine Durose, Co-Director of the Heseltine Institute of Public Policy Practice and Place and Co-convenor of the Feminist City Network will chair a panel discussion where she will be joined by Dr Catherine Queen, Co-convenor of the Feminist City Network and Dr Fei Chen alongside other panel members from the LCRCA.
The Feminist City Network was launched by the University of Liverpool to offer a space for researchers, policymakers and practitioners to connect and address the question of how we can live more justly in an urban world.
Professor Durose said ‘The Feminist City Network offers a space to share research and practice on how cities can be inclusive, safe and uplifting places for everyone, including women. This event provides a brilliant opportunity to use this lens to discuss what’s happening now in Liverpool City Region and how its future can be shaped through the perspectives and experiences of the different women who live, work and visit here'.
