About us
ICSR's mission is to support teams of researchers who can collectively tackle the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We will periodically focus on specific thematic SDGs. This will require innovative collaboration to identify tractable research opportunities.
ICSR's initial focus was on climate-related SDGs, spanning several of the goals that cover this issue. We are now transitioning our facilitated activities to SDGs related to reducing inequalities.
The University of Liverpool's work in digital solutions and innovation will be fundamental in supporting a range of interdisciplinary research.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure that:
- We can convene interdisciplinary teams to tackle projects requiring integrative expertise
- Secure external funding for ambitious large-scale projects
- Co-create projects with external partners and stakeholders
- Demonstrate tangible impact that progress solutions on the UN SDGs.
