Combining world-class expertise from across the University of Liverpool to transform global health and medicine.

Effective medicines are essential for the prevention, treatment and cure of disease, and there is an urgent need for the development of medicines that are both clinically effective and cost-efficient. Building on our strong legacy of groundbreaking discoveries and translational research, we bring breadth and depth of expertise that allows us to shape and influence every stage of the drug development pipeline.

Leading the way

Our renowned expertise can be accessed in the form of Open Innovation Platforms, or separately through conventional collaborations with our Centres, which will improve the development, posology, and implementation of medicines for better health outcomes. Our distinctive capabilities bridge the gap between industry, global charities, and academia, enabling us to work collaboratively to tackle major health challenges such as cancer, infection, women and children’s health, cardio-metabolic disease and neurological conditions.
