The CDSS undertakes fundamental clinical and basic research into the causes, characteristics and consequences of adverse drug reactions (ADRs).

Antimicrobial pharmacodynamics and therapeutics (APT) labs

Our APT labs are advancing our understanding of antimicrobial distribution and efficacy. Utilising digital chemistry, machine learning and AI, we have created robust pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) models, essential for drug discovery and clinical pharmacology.

Medicinal Chemistry Group

Our medicinal chemistry group has expertise in anti-infective drug hit to lead optimisation campaigns and has candidate selected several small molecules for the treatment of malaria and filariasis, with two molecules progressing into clinical trials in humans.
