What was your best experience while studying your course at the University of Liverpool?
The University of Liverpool MBA program brought me the latest management knowledge and effective international project management advice. The study of business strategy, enterprise innovation and international trading in emerging markets helped me in building a more systematic management system. More importantly, through the critical thinking discussions in the classroom, we enhanced our deep understanding of the global management of oil and gas projects and cross-cultural management, which successfully supported my better performance in every overseas project.
Which aspects of your course do you think have been the most beneficial to your career development?
Leadership is not a concept of "myth", and no fixed character is destined to be a successful leader. Leadership needs to be reflected in the clear understanding of the enterprise mission and effective implementation of the organization’s strategy. The MBA program at the University of Liverpool has been an inspiration to me. Today, excellent international project management should focus on leadership while improving overall performance through teamwork. A "genius" manager is not the most important. It is important to have an excellent team that constantly learns to make progress.
Can you describe your current role?
I am currently working in a team to carry out the LNG imported receiving terminal project in Shenzhen, one of the cities in China Greater Bay Area (Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau), and the management focusing on teamwork has brought me great benefits. A sense of identity with the enterprise strategy and culture is a guarantee for the team to achieve efficient working performance.
