Radiation Protection Office
The Radiation Protection Office provides advice on the installation and use of X-ray equipment, lasers, UV, microwave and radio-frequency devices and on the hazards of working with radioactive substances.
Local rules are applied to any work involving ionising or non-ionising radiation, substances or devices.Any University of Liverpool staff member who works with ionising radiation should be registered with the Radiation Protection Office.
Advice is available to all on all aspects of radiation protection.
In memory of Professor Pete Cole
