The University of Liverpool is the lead partner in the QWeCI project, and comprises a multidisciplinary team from across a wide range of departments and research groups. The University of Liverpool is one of the UK’s leading research institutions and a member of the Russell Group, a world class research portfolio.

Dr Andrew Morse Climatologist & climate change impacts scientist working mostly on health, applying current weather and climate forecast information for humanitarian well being through the use of application models and methodologies. Co-leader of the impacts work in EU FP6 ENSEMBLES project |
Professor Matthew Baylis Epidemiologist & vector biologist, head of the Liverpool University Climate & Infectious Diseases of Animals group (LUCINDA) & an expert in the effects of climate change on vector-borne diseases & animal health |
Dr Marie McIntyre Epidemiologist and ecologist. After completing a BSc in Environmental Sciences at UEA, Marie studied for a PhD in Wildlife Epidemiology. She has since worked as an analytical epidemiologist for the IAH studying mainly scrapie, and as an Epidemiology & Surveillance Scientist for the HPA. She currently co-ordinates the ENHanCE project for UoL and work-package 1.1 of QWeCI. |
Dr Andy Heath Andy's work with the QWeCI group is divided into two areas: software engineering and outreach. Andy is predominately developing software related to disease models. His outreach work involves sourcing and generating various media to create video and other outputs to explain the goals and impacts of the QWeCI project. Andy also works as a professional photographer. |

Dr Cyril Caminade Research interests include climate variability, climate change and impact studies, seasonal forecasting and climate modelling. Cyril collaborates with the LUCINDA group, based in Liverpool, on various topics including studying blue tongue and liver fluke, and their relationship to climate drivers, in order to highlight changes in disease risk in the future. |
Tara Wambugu Tara has spent the last five years working in the field with Médecins Sans Frontières, mostly in sub-Saharan Africa. She has experience in managing hospitals in very rural settings, working with diseases such as malaria, TB, and HIV/AIDS, among others. She obtained her Master’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University in 2005, and she speaks both English and French. |

Andrew McCaldon Having gained administrative experience in both the public and private sectors, Andrew is currently studying a BA in Modern History and Politics at the University of Liverpool. For the past three years, Andrew has worked for the Finance and Operations Dept. of Debenhams Retail Plc. and, in this capacity, assisted in the opening of the £1billion Liverpool One shopping, residential and leisure complex. Andrew is currently applying for postgraduate study in Politics at the University of Liverpool. |

John Keefe John has been working as a web designer/deverloper for the past 10 years after completing a Ba in Interactive Media. Working mainly in the leisure and finance sectors he has created and managed websites for a variety businesses worldwide including Marriott Hotels and Reebok. |
