Background
Connor studied Physics (MPhys) at University of Liverpool. He also conducted a summer internship project with Bernhard Holzer at CERN looking at synchrotron radiation shielding in the interaction region of the LHeC project, this led to my interest in ERL’s and now my current PhD topic.
He graduated in 2021. His Master’s project was an application of machine learning techniques to the correction of particle trajectories inside different types of accelerators, specifically focusing a simulation of CLARA.
Connor joined the QUASAR Group in October 2022. His project will be researching the beam dynamics of PERLE, building my research on work from a previous PhD student in the group who had worked on injector design for PERLE.
