Prof. Carsten P. Welsch gave a 2 h course on 'Writing competitive grant applications' as part of a research leadership program on 11th December 2013 to colleagues in Liverpool’s School of Physical Sciences. The same day he also talked about 'Best practice in Marie Curie ITN coordination' in a Horizon 2020 kickoff meeting hosted by Liverpool’s Research Support Office.
On 12th December he summarized the state of the art in 'Beam diagnostics for high intensity proton beams' for a Topical Workshop on Accelerators for Future Spallation Sources: ESS, MYRRHA and the ISIS Upgrade.
He also presented a talk about 'UK Diagnostic Developments for Proton Therapy' at the Workshop on Modern Hadron Therapy Gantry Developments at the Cockcroft Institute, UK on 17th January 2014 and spoke about 'Best Practice in ITN Coordination' on 20th January 2014 at the TU Munich, Germany.
