QUASARs Awarded at Beam Diagnostics Conference
A three day international conference on diagnostic techniques for particle accelerators and beam instrumentation was held in Seville, Spain between 9th and 11th November 2011.
The conference was hosted by University of Seville/Centro Nacional de Aceleradores (CNA) and brought together researchers from the world-wide diagnostics community, in particular researchers in their early career stage.
The latest developments and trends in this research area were presented in both, oral and poster sessions. QUASARs Alexander, Sophie participated to the conference and Adam, Massimiliano, Janusz and Tomasz all were invited to give talks about their projects.
Three prizes were awarded at the conference: Under strong competition the best poster award went to ex-QUASAR Christian Schömers, now: HIT/Germany, the best conference talk award went to ex-QUASAR Jan Egberts, now: CEA/France and the DITANET 2011 Award went to Massimiliano for his excellent work on the gas jet monitor.
