QUASAR @ FEL
The 35th International Free-Electron Laser Conference, organized by Brookhaven National Laboratory, took place from Sunday August 25 to Friday August 30, 2013 in Marriott New York Marquis Hotel, Manhattan, New York, USA. The conference sessions were held from Monday to Thursday, with the last day of the conference dedicated for a day-long tour to Brookhaven National Laboratory and Long Island.
Prof. Carsten P. Welsch made a contribution “FEL R&D within LA³NET” to this important event. He presented first R&D results from network partners University of Dundee and STFC/ASTeC, both UK, as well as a summary of the international events the consortium has organized to date. His presentation gave rise to many interesting discussions and additional institutions are now considering joining this QUASAR-led initiative.
