EuPRAXIA Fellow, Divya recently completed a four-week secondment at D-BEAM Ltd. During this time, she studied the performance optimization of the Optical Beam Loss Monitor (OBLM) installed at the CLARA facility. This involved an initial "big data" analysis of RF conditioning measurements using OBLM as a comprehensive RF diagnostic tool. She also explored the best approach for integrating high-resolution encoders with XYZ position motors for the qHAM project and managed the procurement of advanced diagnostic tools for optical encoders.

Located on the campus of the Cockcroft Institute, D-BEAM provided Divya with the opportunity to collaborate with fellow PhD students and esteemed researchers, significantly enriching her expertise and expanding her network within the field. Working alongside experienced professionals, including Dr Joe Wolfenden, allowed her to gain valuable insights into data analysis and system optimization. A highlight of her secondment was her visit to the CLARA control room, which gave her a deeper understanding of the experimental setup.

Currently, Divya is based at CIVIDEC Instrumentation in Vienna, where she is working on "Development of a Diamond Beam Loss Monitor for Laser Plasma Accelerators". Reflecting on her secondment, she emphasized its profound impact on her research career and professional growth. Her experiences at D-BEAM Ltd. are sure to resonate throughout her ongoing research and career trajectory.
