Celebrating Excellence: Erasmus intern Ines Maltusch awarded 'Ehrenplakette der FH Aachen'
For the 50th time, FH Aachen in Germany awarded its badge of honour to the best graduates of a year for outstanding academic achievements in November 2023. The QUASAR Group is delighted that Ines Maltusch, who completed an internship with us in 2022, is among the very best in her department.
During her six-month traineeship, Ines worked on the gas jet monitor and the QuantumJet project, and this formed the basis for her master's thesis “Particle beam scanner for beam profile monitoring”. Whilst with our group, she gained theoretical knowledge and practical lab experience, analyzing the performance of advanced instruments in detail and identifying its limitations. This has paved the way for novel applications and improvements to this non-invasive beam monitoring technique.
