About

I am currently a Doctoral Academic Teacher in the Department of Psychology and contribute to the teaching of Research Methods and Statistics to first and second year Undergraduate students. I also provide academic support as an Academic Advisor to Undergraduate students.

I initially graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BSc in Psychology in 2012. After working for a number of years in the legal sector, I returned to the University of Liverpool to pursue a Master's in Investigative and Forensic Psychology, graduating with a Distinction in 2022. My Master's dissertation explored the variation of "Honour"-based Abuse characteristics depending on different survivor age groups and geographical origins. I presented my dissertation results during an "Honour"-based Abuse conference in January 2023.

Alongside my current teaching duties, I am pursuing a PhD within the department. This is focused on the under researched, but contemporary topic of Cyber Dating Abuse. This form of abuse occurs through the use of information communication technologies (i.e., through text messages, emails, instant messages, phone calls) in romantic relationships. I am hoping to increase the understanding around this topic, whilst also raising awareness of it generally.
