Research Overview

I am interested in both discipline specific and pedagogic research and creative research methods. I am a founding member of the Pedagogic Research Group in the School of Allied Health Professions and Nursing. I have a particular interest in research in contexts and perspectives of asylum, migration and refuge. Occupational therapy/pedagogic research interests include transformative learning on role emerging placements in a refugee sector, transformative learning on a leadership placement. I am currently developing research using zine-making to explore women's creativity and imagination in a local refugee organisation, and also to explore zine-making and it's potential as a democratic methodology.
