About

My research explores the cognitive mechanisms that allow to children learn their first language. I work as part of the Liverpool Language Lab, building computational models of language development and conducting lab experiments with young children and adults.

I was born and educated in Liverpool. I completed my undergraduate, masters, and PhD degrees at the University of Liverpool’s Psychology Department. After finishing my PhD, I joined the Language Development Department at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in The Netherlands as a postdoctoral researcher, before returning to the Liverpool as a research associate for the ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development. I became a Psychology Lecturer at the University of Liverpool in March 2024.
