Working with the Transforming UK Food Systems SPF programme

Dr Bethan Mead, Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool discusses her joint FSA-UKRI fellowship as part of the Transforming UK Food Systems SPF Programme.

Dr Bethan Mead was excited to recently be welcomed by the FSA as the latest research fellow as part of UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) Strategic Priorities Fund (SPF) Programme on Transforming the UK Food System for Healthy People and a Healthy Environment. Over the next three years, she will be working with her research group at the University of Liverpool on an exciting project, focusing on consumer and stakeholder interests in a transforming UK food system.

To mark the start of her project, Bethan had an interview with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) where she discussed her research background, ongoing work in the new project and what she hopes they will achieve as well as explaining her role in championing the Food Systems SPF programme.
