Psychology Students compete in Young Enterprise UK Final

A team of Psychology students competed in the Young Enterprise UK Final on Wednesday 15 May 2024.

Sideline Stream included Psychology students Luke Soteriou, Molly Ashbee, Lexie Roberts and Beth Evans whose business, Sideline Stream, want to stream University sports games to a wider audience, allowing friends, family, supporters and talent scouts to see the amazing sports games we have.

Their aim is to not only bring games to a wider audience, but to provide support and training to students, enabling them to gain valuable experience in all steps of the screening process such as filming, commentating and training.

Sideline Stream won a place in the Young Enterprise UK Final, following their successful participation in the North-West Finals on Wednesday 21 February.

They competed in the National Final, where they pitched their business to companies, and were ranked in the top 6 of all the groups that took part.

Student Experience Employability Administrator Elaine Fairhurst said: "We would like to give a heartfelt congratulations to Sideline Stream for participating in the Young Enterprise UK Final on Wednesday 16 May 2024.

"We are incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work you have all shown."

She continued: "Your presentation was highly praised by all the judges and you distinguised yourselves by ranking among the top 6 of all the groups that took part. Well done!"
