Staff from the Department of Psychology presented their collaborative research findings at the first IPH CoRe Seminar Series of the 23/24 academic year.
Held on Wednesday 25 October 2023, staff working within the department and Institute of Population Health (IPH) highlighted the importance of collaborative work in research and provided practical examples of collaborations across departments, institutes, faculties and organisations.
The department hosted two talks. The first was by Dr Raluca Petrican, who presented her research on Early Life Contributors to Ageing Trajectories: The Interplay among Genetic Risk, Adverse Life Experiences and Lifestyle Buffers.
Dr Cesare Parise was the second speaker of the day and introduced attendees to his research on Spatiotemporal models of audiovisual integration.
Dr Cesare Parise was one of two speakers at the IPH CoRe Seminar Series 2023.
Speaking about the event, organiser and Department of Psychology lecturer Dr Idalmis Santiesteban said: "We are pleased that the event was well attended. The department hosted two very interesting talks.
"The talks were followed by a networking event where attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss potential future contributions within the institute."
The next IPH CoRe Seminar Series is scheduled for Wednesday 22 November and will be hosted by the department of Public Health, Policy and Systems. More details to follow.
