The Department of Psychology Class of 2023 graduated from the University of Liverpool on Thursday 29 July.
More than 300 students were awarded their degrees by the Dean of Psychology, Professor Jo Harrold, at a Graduation ceremony held at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall.
Graduate Jaden Moonsammy was chosen to speak on behalf of the class of 2023 and used his speech to pay tribute to staff, friends and family.
Jaden said: "We would not be here today without the hard work of our academic and support staff across all of the subjects represented in this room today. To you on behalf of everyone here I would like to say thank you for everything you do."
He continued: "Lastly, to my Mum, Dad and now taller than me little brother, your constant support has been immeasurable. Whether it was celebrating a good mark or a phone call in the midst of a bad day, you’ve always been there to listen to me and offered guidance in times of uncertainty. I will never be able to say thank you enough.
“My fellow graduands, I hope you are proud of what we are here to celebrate today, this is only the beginning."
Students also celebrated success during the Department of Psychology awards, which was held at a reception in Abercromby Square following the Graduation ceremony.
