Welcome to the School of Histories, Languages and Cultures: The Essentials
Transitioning to university can be both challenging and exciting. This session will cover essential resources and expectations for students, beginning with a welcome talk from the Dean of School and an introduction to key staff. You'll learn about student support, the student voice, careers, and employability opportunities, as well as managing time effectively, taking ownership of your work, and understanding available support. This session is designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools for a smooth and successful transition to university life.
A message from the HLC Associate Dean for Education, Professor Diana Cullell-Teixidor:
We are really looking forward to meeting you! During the session you will meet key members in the School and you will be signposted to all the support we can offer you throughout your studies.
