I joined the University of Liverpool Department of Politics in 2023 as a lecturer in International Relations. Prior to this role, I was Research Director at the Global Network on Extremism and Technology (GNET) in the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) at King’s College University (KCL). I hold a PhD in International Relations from the Australian National University. I also hold an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford.
I teach modules relating to International Relations and Peace and Conflict studies across a range of modules My areas of research specialism are peace and conflict studies, civil wars and insurgencies, foreign fighters, terrorism, and counter-terrorism studies. I also work on the intersection of gender and online violent extremism.
