Human Rights and Social Justice
Welcome to the Human Rights and Social Justice research cluster at the Department of Politics, University of Liverpool. We are a group of staff and PhD researchers in Politics who focus on contemporary human rights issues including modern slavery, refugees, abortion, adoption and decolonial research practices. Our cluster regularly engages with policy-makers, international and local NGO’s and the media.
The co-ordinator is Dr Claire Pierson.
We welcome applications from potential PhD and post-doctoral researchers on our thematic research areas. To find out what we are each interested in, see the list of supervisors. Learn more about studying for a PhD in our host department, the Department of Politics.
