Madeleine Le Bourdon
Madeleine Le Bourdon is now an Associate Professor in the Politics of Development at the University of Leeds
I was lucky enough to study International Politics and Policy 2010-2013 and as a super enthusiastic student was course representative and set up the UN society. What made studying at Liverpool special was the feeling of community within the department and the city, fostered by the brilliant staff. Having Prof. Erika Harris as head of department at the time and a leading scholar in her field inspired me to continue my journey in academia.
I am now an Associate Professor in the Politics of Development at the University of Leeds. In a full circle moment the research centre I lead (CTIS) won an award at the Political Studies Association conference 2023 held at the University of Liverpool, exactly 10 years after I graduated.
