Workshop
The Department of Physics possesses a first class workshop.
The workshop is equipped with state of the art machinery including wire-spark eroders, CNC milling, lathe machines and 3D printers.
Substantial contributions to the build of most of our experiments is made by the workshop.
The workshop has a composites lab allowing for the construction of sophisticated high precision components. A speciality is the production of carbon fibre structures for the support of detector components.
