Elected ATLAS Publication committee chair

Published on

At the ATLAS collaboration meeting mid October at CERN, Dr Jan Kretzschmar was elected as chair of the ATLAS Publications committee starting in March 2025 for two years, serving the first year as deputy. This committee is responsible to oversee the preparation of all ATLAS journal articles, of which there have been regularly more than 100 per year recently. These publications cover the extremely diverse ATLAS research programme, spanning from searches for new physics at the energy frontier to precision measurements of standard model parameters and Higgs boson properties. As such, the ATLAS programme – together with those of other LHC collaborations – is the richest and most extensive programme in physics to date. As chair of the Publication committee, Jan will work to guarantee the ATLAS publications are timely, interesting to read and of high quality.
