Prize for Dr Cotrozzi
On the 9th September 2024, the Italian Physical Society awarded Dr. Lorenzo Cotrozzi the "Giuliano Toraldo di Francia" prize. It is awarded each year to young Italian physicists who have distinguished themselves in their studies and research activities. This includes Dr Cotrozzi’s masters, completed in 2020, and PhD work from 2020-2023, both done at the university of Pisa on the measurement of the anomalous magnetic dipole moment of the muon for the g-2 experiment, based in Fermilab. It also includes his participation in the KLOE & STRONG2020 activities since joining the University of Liverpool. This most recent work is relevant for the theoretical prediction of the Muon magnetic dipole moment.
The award ceremony was in Bologna, Italy, at the beginning of their annual congress. Congratulations to Lorenzo!
