Professional development
Regular researcher development programmes are organised by the Academy and covers development opportunities in four main areas:
The Academy also hosts an annual Making an Impact Series which provide unique opportunities to develop a variety of new skills to boost research impact.
Dr Saneeya Qureshi is the Research Staff Developer at UoL and can help with professional development queries.
Research Staff Association
The University of Liverpool has a research staff association (UoLRSA) which provides a collective voice for research staff from all faculties, schools and institutes on matters affecting researchers. They also provide a platform for communication and networking and regularly host Lunch and Learn sessions for researchers.
There are many opportunities to get involved in the central committee as well as organising committees for various events such as the annual Research Staff Conference. For more information please email the UoLRSA committee.
Research funding
The University's Research Support Office and the School's Research Support Team are there to help research staff with all aspects related to research funding.
If you are thinking about applying for a fellowship, please read this guidance and contact a member of Research Support Office well in advance of the application deadline (6 months is not too early).
Please check carefully the information related to applying for a Royal Society University Research Fellowship and an EPSRC Fellowship.
