Understanding Maternal-Foetal Identity and Pregnancy Rights

My research examines the metaphysical nature of maternal agents and foetuses, questing the nature of the connection present between them during a pregnancy. I question whether we should view foetuses as separate entities or as a metaphysical part of their gestational carrier. I am interested in the way that the metaphysical model we adopt has implications for the ethics of reproductive rights, as well as for phenomenological understandings of pregnancy.

Other research interests:

Metaphysics of pregnancy, reproductive ethics, phenomenology of pregnancy, ethical repercussions of reproductive technologies of the future.
