Fleshing it Out: A Feminist Analysis of Somatosensory Perception and Enactive Cognition

My research lies at the intersection of the philosophy of mind and cognitive science. I will investigate the nature of tactile and proprioceptive perception and examine what can be learned from advances in robotic systems that operate on the assumption that cognition is embodied. I am interested in identifying how cognition differs depending on the type of body one has.
