    Meta-Ethics and Ontology

I work on theories of reasons and practical rationality. I am also interested in different forms of moral non-naturalism. Recently I also began work on the ontology of reasons for action.

    Normative Ethics and Experimental Philosophy

My work focuses primarily on theories of consequentialism and in particular the so-called demandingness problem. This investigation extends to social psychology and experiments concerning people's intuitions about moral demands. Recently I also began a project on institutional consequentialism that should in a later phase involve political scientists and economists.

Applied Ethics and Philosophy of Religion

I am particularly interested in the ethics of life extension (immortality) and in the ethics of health care resources distribution (rationing).
