Philosophy and Economics student Lorenza Micaletti has taken on the role of Student Ambassador for the Economist. Now in her third year of study and whilst undertaking a SOTA300 placement at VillageWater, Lorenza has beaten off stiff competition for one of just thirty roles nationwide.

Lorenza said of the role:

As Student Ambassador you are supposed to increase awareness of the deals offered by The Economist and try to make students understand how beneficial it is to read The Economist magazine for their personal knowledge as well as academic performances. A Student Ambassador has to target scenarios where large groups of students will be meeting, arrange to set up marketing stalls and give presentations. The skills required for this job are creativity, organisation, communication skills and persistence.

University of Liverpool students can now benefit from a discounted subscription to the Economist through Lorenza’s placement. More information is available at Economist.com/Lorenza
