In 2014 I graduated from the University of York with an undergraduate degree (MMATH Hons) in Mathematics.
For my final year project I modelled the particle morphologies of self-assembling peptide nanoparticles which have applications in vaccine design. After enjoying my exposure to mathematical biology during this project I enrolled to complete an MSc in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at the University of York which started in October 2014.
As part of this MSc I have taken up a summer research placement in the Protein Function Group at the University of Liverpool where I will be using my skills to develop a method for classifying unidentified archaeological bone samples.
