Second Meeting of the oPAC Steering Committee

The oPAC Steering Committee met on 10th December 2012 in Brussels, Belgium to review the project's recruitment progress and discuss future events. Joaquin Gomez Camacho (U Seville/CNA), Nika Vodopivec (Instrumentation Technologies), Rhodri Jones (CERN), Andreas Jansson (ESS), Louisa Griesmayer, as well as Helen Williams and Carsten Welsch (both Cockcroft Institute/U Liverpool) talked about the recruited fellows across the network and candidates that are currently being considered for the few remaining position vacancies.  A week-long researcher skills workshop that will be organized for all oPAC fellows was planned in detail, as was an international Workshop on the 'Grand Challenges in Accelerator Optimization' that shall be held at CERN end of June 2013.


Further discussion centred around the mid term review meeting later in 2013, as well as efficient dissemination of all R&D results across the network.
