Recordings made in collaboration with NeuroPodcases – clinical neurology podcast, started by Dr John Williamson from the Walton Centre. The episodes are aimed at medical students.
In these five episodes on neurosurgery:
- Professor Michael Jenkinson discusses his career in Brain Tumour research;
- Mr Carleton-Bland talks about an approach to history taking from a neurosurgical perspective with an illustrative case and interpretation of a scan, he talks about the diagnosis of cauda equine syndrome, and reviews back pain - what symptoms and signs to worry about and when to act on them;
- Dr Anu Jacob discusses his approach to patients presenting with a suspected spinal cord disorder. Using two cases we discuss how the clinical examinations can localise the site of pathology to the spinal cord and discuss the different clinical features of common spinal cord syndromes.
